WHO   ARE   YOU ????!!!


"Now this is the testimony of John (the Baptist),
When the Jews sent priests and Levites from
Jerusalem to ask Him,  'Who are you"?

He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed
"I am NOT the CHRIST.'"

"And they asked Him-----'Are you Elijah'?
He said 'I am not.' 
What then? Are you the Prophet?'
And He answered, 'No''

"I Baptize with water, but there stands One
among you whom you do not know.

"It is He who, coming after Me,
is preferred before me-----whose Sandal
Strap I am not worthy to loose." (John 1:19-27)


"When the messengers of John (the Baptize)
had departed, He (JESUS) began to speak to
the multitudes concerning John: 'What did you
go out into the wilderness to see?  A reed
shaken by the wind?...

'But what did you go out to see?  A prophet?
'Yes, I say to you, and MORE than a prophet.
"For I say to you, among those born of women
there is NOT a GREATER prophet than John
the Baptist..." (Luke 7:24-28)


(Jesus speaking) "You are My friends if you
do whatever I command you.

"No longer do I call you servants, for a servant
does know what his master is doing; But I have
called you  Friends, for all things that I heard from
My Father, I have made known to you.

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and
appointed you that you should go and bear fruit,
and that your fruit should remain.....

"These things I command you, that you love one
another." (John 15:14-17)

As noted above, John declared that He was
not 'worthy to loose Jesus' sandal strap."

Jesus spoke very HIGHLY of John.

If you and I do what Jesus commands us---
He calls us "Friends."  (John 15:14/above)


JESUS (IS) the Truth (John 14:6) and He
SPEAKS the TRUTH.  the Holy Spirit
"guides us into all truth."  (John 16:13)


This summer, as we (loosen the strap on
our sandals, and as we take off our shoes---
Let's remind ourselves:


"Lord, please guide and enable me to (THINK),  AND (SPEAK)
of ourselves, and all others-----as Jesus does.

JESUS CALLS US His "FRIENDS".
